Terms of service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and CheckList AI about how you may use the service, what you are responsible for, what we provide, and how responsibility is divided. Using the service means you have read and accept them; if you do not agree, please stop using it.
Acceptance of these terms
CheckList AI (the "service") is provided by the operator of this site. By accessing or using the service you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms; if you disagree with any part, please do not use the service. You must be able to enter a binding agreement with us; if you are below the age of majority where you live, please use the service only with a parent or guardian's knowledge and consent, and do not submit personal information on your own.
What the service is
CheckList AI is a tool that turns one sentence into a checklist: generating, editing, ticking off, saving, sharing and reusing templates. The core features work without an account; signing in syncs them across your devices. We may add, change or retire individual features from time to time, and what is actually offered is what counts.
Accounts and security
You can use the core features without registering; while you are signed out, your checklists and progress are kept in this browser. Please register with a working email address and keep your password safe — you are responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you think someone else has access, change your password and tell us. Do not share an account or hand your sign-in credentials to anyone else.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to upload, generate or spread unlawful, infringing, sexual, violent, hateful or fraudulent content; and do not scrape the API, circumvent credit or share limits, impersonate others, or otherwise disrupt the service by automated means. Content submitted to the template library must also follow the next section. If you breach this section we may limit or end your access and may pursue remedies available to us at law.
Your content
The titles, notes and entries you create remain yours. So that we can provide and operate the service — syncing across your devices, rendering share pages, backups and troubleshooting — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence limited to what those purposes require; it ends when you delete the content or close your account. You must hold the rights needed for anything you submit, and your content must not infringe anyone else's rights.
Template library and public content
You may submit a checklist as a template. A submission first enters a pending state and only appears in the template library, for others to browse and reuse, once we have reviewed and approved it; submitting a checklist as a template means you agree that it may be shown publicly in the library and reused by others. You can unpublish at any time, which removes it from the library, though copies others already created by reusing it are unaffected. We may decline or remove any template for compliance or content-quality reasons. If you believe a template infringes your rights, email us at the address below with the necessary evidence and we will look into it.
Generated results
Lists are produced automatically by a model. Treat them as a starting point, not professional advice: they may be incomplete, inaccurate or different from what you expected, and results vary with the model's capabilities and the wording of your input. For travel safety, medical, legal or financial decisions, verify independently or consult a professional before acting, and do not rely on a generated list as your only source.
Third-party services
Some features rely on third-party services: the generation requests you start are sent to the model service configured for this deployment, and paid purchases are processed by a third-party payment provider, so we neither handle nor store your full payment credentials. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which you should review before use.
Credits and payment
How generation credits are granted and spent is set out on the pricing page: you can generate once without signing in, signing up adds two more, and a daily check-in grants one more. The paid plan is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it never auto-renews; buying it adds generation credits and raises how many share links you can keep at once, while buying again only adds generation credits and does not stack share slots you have already unlocked. We may adjust how credits are granted and how many, for operational reasons, but we will not retroactively claw back credits you have already received.
Refunds
The paid plan is a one-time digital product, and the corresponding credits and share slots arrive immediately on purchase, so the kind of "no-questions-asked returns within seven days" that applies to physical goods does not apply here. If you are charged twice, pay successfully but receive nothing, or the purchase does not work, contact us at the address below soon after buying with your order details; we will investigate and handle a refund in line with applicable consumer-protection rules. Refunds are returned through the payment provider by the original route; please note that a refund does not automatically claw back credits or share slots already granted.
Our intellectual property
The service itself — its name and marks, interface design, icons, copy, program code and how it is organised — is owned by us or the relevant rights holders and is protected by law. Except as the law allows or as we permit in writing, you may not copy, modify, decompile, resell or otherwise use those parts of the service. This section does not change the promise above that the content you create remains yours.
Changes and termination
You can delete your checklists or close your account at any time; after closure we handle your account data as described in the privacy policy. We may add, change or retire features, and may pause the service for maintenance or upgrades when necessary. If you seriously breach these terms, or where the law requires, we may limit or end the service we provide to you.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we make no express or implied warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of delay, nor that generated results will be accurate, complete or fit for your particular purpose; you use the service and its results at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption. For direct losses, our liability is capped at the amount you actually paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. This section does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnity
If your breach of these terms, your infringement of a third party's rights, or content you submit or publish (including templates) gives rise to a third-party claim, dispute or penalty and causes us loss or liability, you agree to indemnify us to a reasonable extent and to co-operate with our defence.
Governing law and disputes
The formation, validity, interpretation and resolution of disputes under these terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction. Disputes arising from these terms or the service should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; failing that, either party may bring proceedings in a court of competent jurisdiction in that territory. Where the law of your own country gives you, as a consumer, the right to sue in your local courts, this section does not restrict it.
Changes and general provisions
If these terms change we update the date at the top of this page, and for changes that affect your rights we will give more prominent notice in the product. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the service and supersede any earlier communication on the same subject. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and that provision will be adjusted or removed to the minimum extent necessary.
